Scholarship Fund

In here you will find an overview of the system which was agreed upon during the meeting of European AEE members in Caramulo, Portugal, May 2002. The deadline for applications this year is April 15.

How the 'Scholarship Fund' works

• to finance the fund, a certain amount of money will be added each year to the participant fee
• people interested in sponsorship (further to be named 'applicants') can apply via email to info@eeeurope.org
• the fund will 'sponsor' up to a maximum of 80% of the applicant's fee for the conference
• the emails (applications) are read and decided upon by a committee which consists of people from different countries
• the applicants need to be willing and able 'to share and contribute' in English
• the applicants will be asked to contribute by either presenting a workshop, a poster session, a video or a slide show
• the organisers of the conference will keep file of all applications, the comments that have been made by the members of the committee, and the way decisions have been made
• the fund will be handed over to next year's organizer of the conference at the members meeting.

Rules for application and how to apply

• applicants need to work/live in Europe, and
• they need to apply via email, following the questions
  • where did you hear about this meeting?
  • please describe your experience in 'experiential education'
  • why are you asking for sponsorship?
  • please describe your economic circumstances
  • what contribution would you like to make, and please describe it:
    • workshop
    • poster session
    • video
    • slide show
    • other:
  • what would be the benefit for you having attended the conference?
  • what are your plans for the future in this field?

Timelines

This year the application deadline is April 15.

Your application will be read and commented upon by at least 4 European AEE members within 1 week of your application. If necessary, you will be approached for extra information.
