Things to bring and logistical considerations
Please bring your own towels to the conference, if your are registered to sleep in the dorm! No bed sheets or sleeping bags are required.
For our traditional International Dinner bring any of the items listed below, to be set out on a table and tasted and feasted on during the night - and maybe throughout the next days:
- Bring something typical from your country, region, or town
- Bring something homemade, sweet or salty
- Bring something to drink: alcoholic or non-alcoholic
Saturday night we will celebrate our 10th Anniversary!
For this, please bring:
- A CD with your favorite song (dancing music). We will then make medley to play all these different songs for our 'all night' disco.
- Any fun stories, pictures or other relevant things & memories of previous conferences
- Decoration items
- Party games
- Other ideas to celebrate our 10 years of wonderful sharing, fun & joy!
On Sunday night we want to illuminate the castle in a creative way to 'enlighten' our ways back to home & work the next day - and maybe shed some light onto our future.
For this enlightenment session please bring:
- Candles, lanterns, lamps or torches
- & and anything else you can think of to illuminate - but not burn!!! - the castle grounds
In terms of weather: anything could happen!
The conference will take place in what is mid-Spring for us, so it could be either warm and dry with temperatures in the mid to high twenties (centigrade) - or very wet and cold with temperatures in the low to mid teens. So, bring:
- A wide range of clothing to cover all eventualities
- Rain gear & hiking boots
- Sun lotion, hat & shades
For those - rare - free hours bring:
- Rock climbing gear, for those who climb. Leave the CHALK at home, though: It is not permitted!
- Mountain bike - although the riding is not too rough, the landscape is beautiful
- Hiking equipment - the trails and via ferratas around the castle area are magnificent!
