Practical
Weather
In late April and early May, Calambrone (Tuscany) experiences classic transition spring weather. It is generally pleasant and mild, but conditions can be variable.
-
Temperatures: Expect daytime highs around 20°C – 24°C (64°F – 72°F). However, early mornings and evenings can be crisp and cool, dropping to around 15°C – 20°C (50°F – 55°F).
-
Conditions: You will likely enjoy plenty of sunshine, but occasional spring showers are still common.
-
The Sea Breeze: Since Calambrone is directly on the coast, there is often a distinct breeze. While refreshing during a sunny noon, it can make the air feel significantly cooler in the late afternoon.
-
Swimming: The sea is usually too cold for swimming (approx. 17°C/62°F) for most people, though the beaches are perfect for walking or sunbathing.
To cut the story short, bring with you also some warm clothes and a rain cloak; a cap can be helpful.
