Storkow – in the middle of forests and lakes
The contrast couldn’t be stronger. Just a 45 minute drive from Berlin, visitors can find peace and relaxation in the middle of a unique cultural landscape: the town of Storkow (Mark), located on the banks of the large Storkower Lake, is surrounded by a landscape rich in fresh water bodies and forests. It is an ideal starting point for cyclists, hikers and water sports enthusiasts.
The charming little town is one of the oldest places in Brandenburg. Popular stops on a city walk are the parish church, the market square with its venerable “peace oak”, the wooden bascule bridge over the Storkower Canal and the Castle.
Moreover, you can find the Hubertushöhe hunting lodge with its adjacent park, or at the cosy fisherman’s cottage on the shore of Storkower Lake you can have a small snack and just unwind.
And a couple of km NE from Storkow you can find…
