How to get there

EEE 2026 conference takes place in Calambrone, on the Tuscan coast, a few kilometres from Pisa. Below you will find several easy ways to get there, whether you are travelling by train, plane or car.

By train

The closest major railway station is Pisa Centrale, which is well connected with all major Italian cities including Florence, Rom, Milan and Bologna.

From Pisa Centrale to Calambrone

Once you arrive at Pisa Centrale, you have the following options:

  • Local bus to Calambrone / Tirrenia
    You can take a local bus towards Calambrone or Tirrenia.
    Bus numbers may change, so we recommend checking the website of the local transport company Autolinee Toscane for up‑to‑date routes and timetables
  • Taxi (approximately 20 minutes)
    Taxis are available directly outside the main exit of Pisa Centrale.

  • Shared transfers
    Shared transfers may be organised closer to the conference dates.
    Updated information will be provided to registered participants.

By plane

The nearest airport is Pisa International Airport -Galileo Galilei (PSA), one of the most convenient airports in Italy for international travellers, with direct connections to many European cities.

From the airport to Calambrone

From Pisa Airport you can choose between:

    • Taxi (15–20 minutes)
      Taxis are available just outside the arrivals area.

    • Pisamover Shuttle + bus
      Take the Pisamover Shuttle from the airport to Pisa Centrale train station (journey time about 5 minutes)
      From Pisa Centrale, continue by local bus or taxi as described in the “By Train” section above.

By car
