There are 2 airports you can choose as your destination options:

Vilnius International Airport (VNO ) it’s the most convenient airport to reach conference venue (~ 40 km.) and we would recommend to choose this one. It takes only  a comfortable 35 min. train ride to reach Trakai – from here we will organise a shuttle to the conference venue.

Kaunas International Airport (KUN)it’s also possible to arrive to Kaunas airport. It’s not as close as Vilnius (approximately 1h 20 min car ride to conference venue), but it’s still comfortable to reach and it’s mostly used by cheap airlines. We will arrange a direct shuttle bus for those arriving to this airport.

In general, most popular international airlines are flying to Vilnius airport, as well as several cheap airlines. Besides all the popular airlines, we recommend you to check www.wizzair.com – recently they have good connections and prices with Lithuania (both airports).

Coming closer to the conference time, we will provide you with detailed information about your transfer  from the airport to the Margis – conference venue.

First of all, congratulations for considering this option! We have done many road trips across Europe, including traveling to EEE to Germany. All you need to plan is an extra day! In order to orientate better, where the conference location is, please check these maps:

In these times of GPS, here are the exact coordinates and address of the conference location, these should be enough to reach the place. If you type “Hotel Margis” in google maps, it will find the place.

If you are coming by car, please contact us before designing your trip, we might have some tips for your route!

If you like slow traveling, coming by bus could be an excellent option. Your destination should be Vilnius. Check the following websites: www.eurolines.com

Lithuania is a marine country, so it’s also possible to take a ferry to come here. It’s not a popular and convenient way, but that would definitely be an exciting and adventurous journey! We guess, it’s worth considering for those who can reach Kiel (Germany) or Karlshamn (Sweden) easily. The port you should be heading to is Klaipėda and this is the website to check the tickets – https://www.dfdsseaways.eu/

From Klaipėda it’s another ~4 hour drive by train or car to reach conference venue.
