The EEE 2020 Virtual Conference will take place on ZOOM platform.

Zoom is a web-based video conferencing tool with a local, desktop client and a mobile app that allows users to meet online, with or without video. Zoom users can choose to record sessions, collaborate on projects, and share or annotate on one another’s screens, all with one easy-to-use platform. It’s Free! That right, you don’t pay anything. But of course, you have the option to pay and upgrade to gain access to even more features that Zoom offers.

In the same way, as we do our sports online and our children meet their teachers using ZOOM many of us have become quite familiar using video-conferencing over the last weeks (well, yes we  know some have been using it for years) For those who haven’t used ZOOM so much, we put together some Basics which you can find here: Easy guide to ZOOM.

EEE2020 Virtual Conference plenary sessions will be on the Zoom Platform for the opening and the closing as well as our hosted tea & coffee rooms.

Workshops are recommended to be held on the Zoom Platform but each workshop facilitator will decide the platform they prefer. The workshop facilitator will provide the name of the platform to be used and send out the connection link for entry to the meeting.

In order to be technically ready, each participant should check the workshops platform before the start of the EEE 2020 Virtual Conference on the Conference Programme Board which you will receive after signing in.

The Conference Programme Board, which  will collect all the information about EEE 2020 Virtual Conference will be on a Trello board. If you are not familiar with Trello boards – please see below. The link to the Conference Programme Board will be sent after completing the sign in process.

Trello is a collaboration tool that organizes your projects into boards. In one glance, Trello tells you what’s being worked on, who’s working on what, and where something is in a process. Imagine a white board, filled with lists of sticky notes, with each note as a task for you and your team. … That’s Trello!
