EEE Transylvania 2016
At the EEE conferences there are no given themes. The people who come shape what the conference is about, under the broad and flexible banner of ‘experiential learning’. Our belief is that everyone who attends (whether ‘new’ or not) has something to share that others can learn from. This means that the workshops are provided by participants. There are no paid speakers.
ATTENTION PLEASE! Feel free to offer a workshop even if it is your first time at EEE. Consider please that in the program of the conference one time-slot for workshops is 1.5 hours, but this does not mean that the length of a workshop cannot be longer. The organizers can only provide basic materials needed for the workshops, such as: projector, flipchart paper, writing paper, pens, markers. All other materials should be supplied by the presenter.
To propose your workshop you need to complete the signing up process. For inspiration please visit the pages of the previous conferences.

Roger | Greenaway | The Experience of Reviewing | In experiential learning we tend to value activities that fully engage people (in doing, sensing, feeling, thinking, etc.). But when it comes to reviewing those “fully engaging activities” we can easily fall into the trap of thinking that reviewing is all about thinking (and not much else). In this workshop we pay attention to the experience of reviewing, to ensure that reviewing is itself a “fully engaging activity” for whole persons. The workshop builds on this article: http://reviewing.co.uk/articles/reviewing-for-development.htm My goal is to show (with your help) how seeing reviewing as an experience adds to the quality and value of the reviewing process. |

Ammy | Kuiper | The art of Following | How to act as an high performing individual in a high performing team? An experiential workshop on leadership, teamwork, synchronicity, presence and more.
Some 10 years ago, I offered my very first workshop at EEE on this topic. In the past years several participants asked me to offer this workshop again. The workshop: Through a series of fun, non-verbal, experiential exercises, we will explore what the exact behaviour and mindset is needed for any cooperative relation (couple, group, team) to ‘act as one’ towards a common goal. Course of the workshop: exercise – reflections – exercise – reflection etc. After the workshop: I’d appreciate feedback on the facilitation of the reflections. Don’t hesitate to contact me for more info: ammy@tactbureau.nl |

Agnes | Lesny | The Scale of Cooperation – SAC Model | AC Model is a new, and fresh look at the theory of experiential education. Developed by Floor Vullings and Pieter Schoe (The Netherlands) can be very useful in fields of work, at schools, in businesses and in the health and welfare sectors. I found it extremly useful in youth work with bad behavior and teenagers.
The Scale of Cooperation is a insight for people working in and with groups. How come one group ‘runs like clockwork’ but another ‘is completely stuck’? The Scale of Cooperation is based on the notion that there are three different ‘worlds’ in which people coexist: · a world of struggling, in which people resist · a world of avoidance, in which they withdraw from tasks and relationships · a world of cooperation, in which they focus on growth and trust By following your needs; we can delve into the theory (which trainers rarely do, and I love!) or work to transfer theoretical model into practice. |

Carlos | Bobbert | Alba Emoting (TM) | This method allows experiencing an emotion and power out of it at will through different breathing rhythms, body muscles and face, and precise and controlled postural attitudes related to a basic emotion. It is concerned with the outward expressions of emotions without analyzing the causes or cognitive attributes, nor the consequences of emotional state. We will put these physical and postural elements intentionally into action to produce the desired emotional state and having control over them as it can stop the process by making a “Step Out”. We discuss their training application in therapy, business, advertising, education, arts and everything related to communication. | 15 | 5 |
Carlos | Bobbert | “Clearing a Space”, Gendlin’s Focusing method. | “Clearing a Space” is the first step in using Gendlin’s Focusing method. It is also for those times when you feel clogged up with issues that it’s hard to get a “Felt Sense”, something like an “intuitive feel”. Instead, you may feel overwhelmed, depressed, numb. “Clearing a Space” can give you a break even before the problems can be solved. This exercise brings the following benefits: calming and centering, stress reducing, dis-identification with issues and problems, helps one to know there is a “me” separate from the issues they are carrying, etc. Give yourself a break to connect with your own wisdom and thus be more willing to interact with people and the important issues of your life. | 15 | 5 |
Lesley | Greenaway | ‘I’ poems – a story telling method or a different kind of case study | ‘I’ poems are a tool for relating individual stories about big experiences, life changing events, issues and problems for example: the impact of an experiential learning course. The technique is based on the narrative analysis method developed by Doucet and Mauthner (2008) called the Listening Guide. My workshop will introduce how this method works, try it out on experiences of our own and explore how it might be used within our own work contexts. Participants will need to have access to a voice recorder which can be downloaded as an app via their mobile phone, tablet or laptop. |
